Kuami Eugene Survives Car Crash

Kuami Eugene hospitalized after accident: The popular Ghanaian musician is now under medical care following a devastating car crash.

On Sunday, March 17 around 11:30 p.m., Ghanaian highlife artist Kuami Eugene was involved in a serious car accident on the dark N1 Highway between Achimota Overpass and Dzowulu traffic light near the DSTV office. Driving a Range Rover with license plate GC-220-21, Eugene crashed into the back of a slowly moving tipper truck. Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, editor at Modern Ghana news, witnessed the accident while driving behind the musician. He believes poor lighting and the truck's lack of tail lights reduced visibility and contributed to the crash. Eugene suffered injuries including a visibly broken arm, cut hand, leg wound, hurt hip, and cut lip. His male passenger complained of neck and back pain but had no visible injuries. Nurses at UGMC Hospital treated both men. Despite serious damage to the Range Rover and deployed airbags, Abugri stated, "Kuami Eugene is fine. He could have died." The artist survived a near-fatal collision.
