The attention of the management of Radio Progress 98.1fm has been drawn to numerous calls perpetuated by an unscrupulous person who imposes himself as a staff of the above-mentioned station, thereby calling some of our favorite supporters particularly, members of our popular WhatsApp platform known as ''Current Affairs 98.1fm'' asking them to subscribe to a certain four (4) digit code numbers to join a newly created social platform on WhatsApp.

He further claims that the new 'step' is part of our activities marking Radio Progress's 25th-anniversary celebrations which happen this year.

On record, all the above statements are untrue as management has no hand in such.

The station is by this, distancing itself from such claims as such an unscrupulous individual is never one of our workers nor part of the planning committee of the noble radio station but only a scammer. Neither does the station plan to do anything of that sort.

While resounding cautions against such criminals or perpetrators to immediately desist from such scandalous acts, the general public is hereby also advised to disregard such scammer and all his fallacies with the contempt it so deserved or you deal with him at your peril.
